The distance support (1) is fitted between two wooden planks (41,42). It has at least one support rod (2) joined by the ends (21,22) to the support feet (3) glued to the planks. The support rod is made of wood. The support rod can also be made of metal, esp. a flat iron bar. A number of support rods can be joined to a common pair of support feet.
