An HVDC transmission with at least two converters (SR1, SR2) which are connected between separate alternating-voltage networks (N1, N2) and a dc link (L1, L2) common to the converters. At least one converter (SR1) is connected to its alternating-voltage network (N1) without the use of a separate winding transformer. This converter has in its ac leads (VL1) a zero-sequence inductor connection (IB) which is designed such that it exhibits a high impedance to zero-sequence currents and a low impedance to positive-sequence currents.
