Marking system for roadways and escape routes

The roadway marking system incorporates a prefabricated plastics shell (1) which has two outer longitudinal rails (2,3). The rails have an angular profile with an outwardly pointing horizontal bar (7,8) and a vertical bar (9,10) projecting upward into the roadway. The distance between the longitudinal rails is maintained by the diagonal cross formed by two connecting pieces (4,5). The space between the rails is filled with a floor material of a different colour or optical effect from the main floor.
