The underside of the table top has a slide arrangement by which the table top is supported on the table base. The table top is mounted on a frame joined by two interlocking slide rails to the table base. One slide rail is fixed to the table top, and the other side rail to the table base. A pin or snap-in bar (8) is fixed to the frame and cooperates with a cavity (12) on the table base or with a part connected to it.
