Measuring device for monitoring holes in paper path edge hole patterns

The device has an elongated base body (2) with a paper path holder (5) on the upper side at one end (3). The paper path holder fixes at least one hole in the hole pattern in a defined position. A measurement device (1) on the upper side of the other end (10) of the base body determines the position of at least one other hole. Markings (17) are arranged in a pattern on the surface of the base body between the holder and measurement device, whereby this pattern corresp. to the pattern of holes in the paper or to a multiple thereof. The markings are the same shape as the holes in the paper to be checked and may be up to 30 per cent smaller or 10 per cent larger.
