Winding machine e.g. for winding paper or card strips onto core rolls

The winding machine has a longitudinal cutting device (10) producing two strips, and separate winding points (11, 12) in two winding lines either side of a driven support roll (9). The points consists of two bearing elements (17, 19) and two turning heads (15, 16). Guide rollers press the strip to the support roll. The winding points (11) on one side of the support roll have bearing elements (17) supported on the floor. The guide heads (15) are at about the height of the support roll axis. They can move horizontally and radially relative to the support roll. For the other winding point (12), the wound rolls in the upper zone fo the support roll are against the apex line fo the support roll.
