The proposed container for a portable PC such as a notebook and associated peripheral devices, such as a printer (22) and telecommunications devices, is provided with a principal mains circuit (26) which can be connected to the mains to produce the operating voltage required by the peripheral devices, and a separate mains PC circuit (28) for producing the operating voltage required by the PC (24). Both circuits (26, 28) are arranged underneath the PC (24). In addition, a cool air-flow generator (34) is provided for cooling the principal mains circuit (26). The mains PC circuit (28) is situated in the cool air flow.
