Asynchronous electric motor rotor flux regulation system

The rotor flux regulation system provides direct flux regulation (1) via the motor magnetisation current (imw), superimposed on the rotor-flux oriented current regulation (2) of the asynchronous motor effected via the supply thyristor regulator, with switching between the regulation modes. The thyristor regulator regulation mode is used when the required regulation is below the regulation available via the thyristor regulator and the actual flux does not differ from the required flux by a given percentage, with return to the direct flux regulation mode when the motor revs drop and the actual flux differs by more than this percentage from the required flux.
