The wheel has a rigid rim (1,1'), which is formed from hard plastic. A tyre (17) formed from a weakly elastic plastic material is mounted on the rim, and has inner (20) side wall and tread (19) sections. The wheel is made by spraying at least the outer side wall section onto the rim. The rim may contain a ring-shaped supporting collar (14), which extends through the outer side wall and tread sections.
