The method involves identifying (E4) a layer (CCi) which includes a selected cell. The cell is reselected during a predetermined time period (TEMPij). The number (CCS) of reselected cells is accumulated (E7) and the accumulated number is compared (E9) with two thresholds (SEUC.2k,SEUC.1j). Reselection, accumulation and comparison operations are reiterated when the accumulated number is between the thresholds. Otherwise a change (E10) in the layer (Ccm) is effected as a function of the comparison and the preceding stages are performed again. <IMAGE> |
