The processor unit 1 controls the second video player 4 to access a second video picture while the first video player 3 plays a first video picture. The processor unit 1 controls the switching circuit 5 to switch into the second video picture signal output by the second video player 4, from the first video picture signal, in response to an access completion signal provided from the second video player 4 whereby the video picture from the first and second video players 3, are displayed on the monitor alternately.
