<p>A fluid sealing arrangement for use in a milling apparatus comprising a Duo-cone type seal which further comprises a first and second seal ring/toric assembly. The fluid sealing arrangement permits relative rotation of said first and second rings 26, 30 with respect to one another. The rings are biased together by resilient toric rings 31, 32. One ring 26 and a toric ring 32 are housed in an annular member 24 that can slip over an existing seal sleeve 19. Lubricant is introduced inside said fluid sealing arrangement so as to provide lubrication along a contiguous rim of said seal rings. The fluid seal assembly provides extended longevity to seal rings, improved seal efficiency and reduces seal sleeve wear. It also provides an arrangement which can operate in conditions of shock loading and notwithstanding periodic failure of seal air.</p> |
