Ski for piste and off=piste use

The ski consists of a body or core (2), with a running surface or sole (5), which lies in a cross-sectional plane (E) on its underside. The sole has a first section (5') which lies in the plane, and is designed for use on compacted pistes. The sole also has a second section (5") on a longitudinal edge of the ski, which reaches above the plane for at least part of its extent, and which is designed for use in deeper snow. The first section may have a steel edge on its inside, and may also have steel edges on both sides, with the second section of the sole projecting from above the outside edge.
