A sealing strip made of elastomer material produces a clamping effect against thin films, eg. release films, using pairs of shanks (3, 3'; 4, 4') which extend away from both upper (2') and lower (2) faces of the seal profile. The shanks (3, 3'; 4, 4') are inclined inward and the opposing free ends (5, 5'; 6, 6') are separated by a gap (s, s'). A use for the sealing strip is claimed in conjunction with laminating, release of coating films. |
