A friction clutch has a flywheel (1) and a clutch housing (9), the flywheei (1) having a predetermined diameter region (3) provided for receiving a cylindrical wall (12) of the clutch housing (9) secured against relative rotation and axial movements. The connection between the flywheel (1) and the wall (12) of the clutch housing (9) is by clamping to produce a forcible connection.
