Bearing of a gear shaft

The mounting has a switch coupling for the gear shaft together with a bearing which has clearance. The bearing has an outer ring in a gear housing and an inner ring on the gear shaft. With power transmission through the gearbox, remotely operated switchable components remove the clearance and act axially on the bearing (2). With interrupted power transmission the components are at least time-wise disconnected and are sepd. from the bearing, freeing the clearance. The components consist of a mechanical piston connected with a disengagement bearing of the switch coupling (7).
