PURPOSE:To provide a safety device for an automobile power window capable of being installed without increasing the number of wirings and giving no effect to the operation of a power window device even if it fails. CONSTITUTION:This safety device 30 for a vehicle power window is provided with a pinch detecting circuit 31 detecting that the power window pinches a foreign matter and outputting a pinch signal, a control circuit 40 outputting a control signal based on the pinch signal, and relays 32, 33 forcibly driving a motor 2A in the direction to open the power window when the control signal is inputted. They are provided separately from the driving circuit of the motor 2A, and a switch 22 can be operated even when the safety device 30 fails. The negative electrode terminal 34B of the control circuit 40 is connected to both of a pair of power lines C1, C2 via a diode 35, and the power lines C1, C2 are used in common with the driving circuit of the motor 2A. |
