PURPOSE:To obtain a hydrous aromatic polyamide pulp, good in dispersibility and opening properties in water, excellent in adhesion to rubber, receiving the surface treatment and capable of providing a high mechanical strength in using thereof as a beater sheet. CONSTITUTION:This hydrous aromatic polyamide pulp has the surface treated with an epoxy resin and a resorcin-formalin-latex rubber(RFL) and 30-95wt.% moisture content. Furthermore, the method for producing the hydrous aromatic polyamide pulp is to use an epoxy resin emulsion in which a part of glycidyl groups are hydrolyzed, disperse the aromatic polyamide pulp in the emulsion, thereby adsorb the epoxy resin on the aromatic polyamide pulp, then disperse the RFL in the system, make the latex rubber unstable, thereby apply the RFL to the surface of the aromatic polyamide pulp and subsequently dehydrate the resultant pulp. |
