PURPOSE:To provide a cushioning member for packaging which is packed around an article to be packaged in order to prevent the article to be packaged from being damaged when the article to be packaged is put in a packaging case and packaged. CONSTITUTION:A cushioning material PC for packaging using a corrugated sheet is made of a sheet material 1 which has an appropriate thickness, appropriate rigidity, and an appropriate shape memory property after a forced pressure- forming process, such as paper or synthetic paper. This sheet material is formed into a corrugated shape in such a manner that wave lines WL may extend in one direction by a forced pressure-forming process to form a corrugated sheet 2. The corrugated sheet is formed into a narrow width state by slit- processing along a desired slit line SL with a narrow width which is perpendicular to the wave lines. Then, a cushioning property is imparted by an elasticity which is owned by the paper itself, and a flexible elasticity which is owned by the corrugation. |
