<p>PURPOSE:To provide a repairing pipe body for a pipe line with which the repairing work is conducted by heating a hard pipe body chiefly containing a thermoplastic resin to cause its softening and expansion, wherein the repair can be performed effectively by introducing such a construction that a cylindrical fabric is consolidated with a hard pipe made of a thermoplastic resin equipped with specific characteristics. CONSTITUTION:A this pipe body 1 is formed of a hard pipe 3 made of a thermoplastic resin whose modulus of bending elasticity when heated to 90 deg.C is below 1500kg/cm<2>, and over the inner surface and outer surface of this hard pipe 3 or within its wall thickness, a cylindrical fabric 4 whose strength in the cylinder longitudinal direction when heated to 90 deg.C is over 30kg/cm is arranged, followed by consolidation of the materials. To repair an existing pipeline, etc., using this pipe body 1, it is folded flat and bent into an approximately U-shape, and in this condition the pipe body 1 is inserted into the existing pipeline. Then the pipe body 1 is heated and softened by feeding a heated and pressurized fluid into it and is expanded so that tight attachment to the pipeline 2 is generated, and thus the pipeline 2 is repaired.</p> |
