<p>PURPOSE:To provide a sheet feeder which exhibits a desired sheet separating- feeding function by effectively using a separating pad, and making always desirable frictional force on a sheet. CONSTITUTION:At opening-closing time (for example, at sheet replenishing time) of a cover 5 of a sheet loading means 20, a driven gear 8 of a separating member driving means K is driven by a driving gear 9 connected to the cover 5, and a separating member 7 connected to the driven gear 8 through a one-way clutch 10 is rotated by a prescribed quantity. Therefore, when a sheet is replenished to the sheet loading means 20, a contact part with a paper feeding member 1 of the separating member 7 is automatically dislocated. Since the separating member 7 is connected to the driven gear 8 through the one-way clutch 10, it is rotated by the prescribed quantity only in the fixed direction by opening closing of the cover 5.</p> |
