PURPOSE:To obtain a duct type electrostatic precipitator wherein a specified value is always kept between a discharge electrode and a dust collecting electrode and high performance is exhibited. CONSTITUTION:In a duct type electrostatic precipitator wherein a plurality of small duct type dust collecting electrodes formed by dividing a flue gas duct and a rod-like electric discharge electrode arranged on the shaft center of each small duct type dust collecting electrode are installed, an upper supporting frame on which the upper end part of each electric discharge electrode is fixed and an upper supporting means 11-15 for the upper supporting frame being movable in the upward and downward directions and having a restoring force in the upward direction, are formed.
