STRETCHED POLYPROPYLENE FILM AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To obtain a stretched polypropylene film having soft touch, the impres sion of a quality product, excellent stretch and excellent antistatic effect without detriment to heat resistance and strengths. CONSTITUTION:This film is produced from a propylene homopolymer and/or copolymer containing at most 4mol% units of other olefins, each of these homopolymer and copolymer having an intrinsic viscosity [eta] of 0.5-10dl/g as measured in decalin at 135 deg.C and a content of boiling-n-heptane insolubles of 10-90wt.%. At least either the homopolymer or the copolymer is molded into a film, which is stretched to produce a stretched propylene film.
