PURPOSE:To provide a process for continuously producing press formed goods at a high speed with drastically lessened generation of burrs by forming preforms without the burrs at a high speed. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of a work piece consisting of an approximately columnar superelastic material 1 in the process for producing the press formed goods 5 having base parts 6, 7 at both ends and having a connecting part 8 of the width smaller than the width of both base parts therebetween are clamped by grippers 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b and the work piece between these grippers is heated to 350 to 600 deg.C. The work piece is then pulled in an axial line direction at a flow stress stress of 20 to 170MPa and strain speed of >=10<-2>s<-1> to form the preform 4. The rented Preform 4 is arranged in molds formed with forming parts of a recessed shape and is subjected to press forming, by which the press formed goods are produced. |
