PURPOSE:To enhance the repeating characteristic of the development and erasure of a color by providing a recording layer containing an electron donating color forming compd., an electron acceptive compd., a specific a color erasing accelerator and a binder resin on a support. CONSTITUTION:A reversible thermal recording medium is formed by providing a recording layer containing an electron donating color forming compd., an electron acceptive compd., a compd. having three hydroxy groups at one terminal part of a long chain aliphatic compd. being a color erasing accelerator and a binder resin on a support. This recording medium forms a developed color recording state when the recording layer is heated and loses recording when the recording layer of the developed color state is heated to temp. lower than color forming temp. As a suitable example of the color erasing accelerator, there are phytantriol, trimethylolundecane and trimethyloltridecane. As a concrete example of the binder resin, there is polymethyl methacrylate or polyisopropyl methacrylate. |
