<p>The release tool for contacts mounted within a connector comprises a shaft (8) attached to a handle (7). At the end of the shaft there are one or two release pegs (11). The front surface of the shaft (9) is provided with one or more eccentric holes (10) in which the release pegs (11) are accommodated. Each of the release pegs may be of round of elliptical cross-section, but they may incorporate a flat surface on one side. The shaft of the tool may have a longitudinal slot (12) cut from the operating end. This divides the tool end into two sections, each of which accommodates one of the release pegs.</p> |
