PURPOSE:To obtain a painting tool ideally operated and easily assembled by a method wherein in a painting tool provided with a tip with a seat part in the tip inner surface thereof and forming a valve mechanism by abutting a applicator disposed in the chip against the seat part by a spring disposed rearward of the applicator, a small-diameter part is formed in each end of the spring. CONSTITUTION:A painting tool is provided with a tip 2 with a seat part 2a in the tip inner surface thereof and forms a valve mechanism by abutting a applicator 1 (e.g. a metal ball) located in the chip 2 against the seat part 2a of the chip 2 by a spring 3 disposed rearward of the applicator 1. In the painting tool, a small-diameter part 3a is formed in each end of the spring 3. In the assembly of the painting tool, the spring can be easily properly set. Therefore, the applicator is free from occurrence of an operation failure. The following problems are prevented from occurring: the applicator fails to operate and cannot apply coating liquid, or the applicator pressed in fails to return to the former state after being released from the pressing force and results in leakage of coating liquid. |
