<p>PURPOSE:To prevent suspended matter from being retained in the surface of water running at a low flow rate by disposing screw aerators so as to uniformize the flow rate of water in the circulating water channel through utilizing the flow characteristics of the aerators. CONSTITUTION:In this method, an oxidation ditch 1 having a circulating water channel 2 and a required shape is provided with screw aerators 5 in the straight- lined parts of the channel 2. At this time, each of the aerators 5 is disposed at a position deviated from the center in the width direction of one of the straightened parts of the channel 2 toward the inner side of one of the curved parts of the channel 2 to uniformize the flow rate of water over the width direction of the channel 2.</p> |
