PURPOSE:To obtain an image making apparatus which can dissolve such a state that a page memory can not be used for a long time due to waiting for printing by mounting an elimination means which eliminates image data stored in a memory when a specified time, which is measured by a measuring means, has passed since the shortage of paper was detected. CONSTITUTION:When paper runs short in printing, a sheetless state occurs. When a sheet set has the same size with that of a manuscript to be copied and the manuscript is already inputted at the point of time, the passage of time after the end of manuscript input is checked by a timer 402. When a specified time has passed since the end of manuscript input, a printer stands by. When a start key is pushed again, the contents of a page memory are printed, since selected sheets are provided. Besides, if a specified time has not yet passed, a memory 403 is checked whether it stores next image data or not. When the memory 403 stores the image data, printing is being carried out with the image data as long as the image remains in the memory 403. |
