METHOD FOR SEPARATING AND RECOVERING ORGANOGERMANIUM COMPOUND

PURPOSE:To separate and recover an organogermanium compound useful as an isomerizing agent and an isomerization promotor by subjecting a mixed liquid containing saccharides and the organogermanium compound to energizing treatment in divided chambers whose anode side is divided by an anionic exchange membrane and whose cathode side is divided by a cationic exchange membrane. CONSTITUTION:A mixed liquid compound containing saccharides and an organogermanium compound is subjected to energizing treatment in divided chambers 2 and 4 divided by one or two or more pairs of anionic exchange membranes A and cationic membranes K oppositely provided and the divided chambers whose anode side is divided by the anionic exchange membrane A and whose cathode side is divided by the cationic exchange membrane K to separate and recover the organic germanium compound in the mixed liquid. The method is effective in separation and recovery from the reaction mixture obtained by isomerizing an aldose structural compound to a ketose structural compound in the presence of the organogermanium compound.
