PURPOSE:To prepare a coating compsn. for pressure-sensitive recording paper developing excellent capacity and enhanced in printability such as ink receptivity or water resistance by compounding a water-soluble resin obtained by reacting three specific compds. CONSTITUTION:A coating compsn. for pressure-sensitive recording paper is prepared from a coupler I and a water-soluble resin obtained by reacting three components of amine (a) selected from alkylenediamine and polyalkylene polyamine, urea (b) and a compd. (c) selected from aldehydes, epihalohydrin and alpha, gamma-dihalo-beta-hydrins. This coating compsn. further pref. contains amine (d) having four or more carbon atoms, an org. quaternary ammonium salt (e) and one or more kind of an additive of polyamide (f) obtained by reacting a carboxylic acid compd. selected from a dibasic carboxylic acid compd. and an alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid compd. with an alicyclic diamine. |
