PURPOSE:To produce a flexible polyurethane foam excellent in physical proper ties at a high productivity without using an environmentally polluting fluorocarbon by reacting a specific org. polyisocyanate compsn. with specific active hydrogen compds. in the presence of water as the blowing agent. CONSTITUTION:A flexible polyurethane foam is produced by reacting an org. polyisocyanate compsn. comprising a polymethylenepolyphenyl isocyanate and 2,4- or 2,6-tolylene diisocyanate with an active hydrogen compd. mixture comprising a polyether triol having a hydroxyl equivalent of 1,800-2,200 and contg. 5-30wt.% ethylene oxide units at the molecular terminals and a polyether triol having a hydroxyl equivalent of 2,300-3,000 and contg. 5-30wt.% ethylene oxide units at the molecular terminals in the presence of a catalyst and water in an amt. of 2.5-5.0wt.% of the active hydrogen compd. mixture as the blowing agent. |
