PURPOSE:To easily and certainly separate a common liquid chamber into a plurality of liquid chambers by arranging grooves to the wall surfaces on the liquid chamber side between the liquid chambers separated from the separation grooves between the recessed parts of the common liquid chamber in the direction vertical to the bonding surface with a silicon substrate. CONSTITUTION:When a sealing agent is injected into the separation grooves 110 between the liquid chambers of an ink jet head, the sealing agent is applied to the silicon substrate outside the sealing agent injection port of a grooved top plate. The applied sealing agent passes through the injection port by capillary force to fill the separation grooves 110 between the liquid chambers to reach a dummy nozzle. In this case, even when the coating amt. of the sealing agent becomes slightly much, the grooves 140 arranged to the wall surfaces on the liquid chamber side of the walls between the separation grooves 110 and the respective liquid chambers are also filled with the sealing agent in a vertical direction by capillary force. At the same time, the gaps between the walls of the separation grooves on both sides of the separation grooves 110 between the liquid chambers are also filled with the sealing agent by capillary force and, since a part of the sealing agent is stopped by the vertical grooves 140, the sealing agent charged in the dummy nozzle is reduced on the way of the separation grooves 110 and the sealing agent is prevented from creeping to ink emitting nozzles 110. |
