PURPOSE:To provide a piezoelectric ceramic having excellent mechanical properties (especially breakage toughness) and electrical properties comparable to those of conventional piezoelectric ceramic and provide its production process. CONSTITUTION:A lead titanate zirconate piezoelectric ceramic material is incorporated with tetragonal ZrO2 fiber and baked. Preferably, the amount of the tetragonal ZrO2 fiber is 2-20vol.% and the fiber has a fiber diameter of 2-100mum and a fiber length of 0.01-30mm. |
