PURPOSE:To enhance the adhesiveness with a sublimation transfer type ink layer and to reduce the dyeing of a sublimable dye to a coating layer by laminating an easy adhesive coating layer having a specific compsn. and the sublimation transfer type ink layer on a polyester film. CONSTITUTION:An easy adhesive coating layer satisfying values of formulae [A, B and C are wt. ratios of an aq. acrylic resin (A), aq. polyester (B) and an aq. oxazoline group-containing polymer (C) in the coating layer] is provided on a polyester film and a sublimation transfer type ink layer is laminated on the coating layer to obtain a polyester film for a sublimation type thermal transfer recording material. As the aq. acrylic resin (A), one containing alkyl acrylate or alkyl methacrylate as a principal component is suitable. The aq. oxazoline group-containing polymer is a polymer containing at least one kind of a water-soluble or water-dispersible oxazoline group-containing monomer. |
