PURPOSE:To eliminate a need to ensure a mounting space for an exclusive use and to detect a combustion pressure without increasing a cost by arranging a permanent magnet integrally with the base end side of the valve body of an electromagnetic type fuel injection valve and detecting movement of a permanent magnet based on an induction electromotive force generated at a coil through contact and separation of the permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:A fuel pressure is set so that fuel is injected at a suction stroke by a fuel injection valve 2 and during the generation of a combustion pressure wherein a pressure in a combustion chamber is increased, a valve body 16 is lifted according to a combustion pressure. In this case, an anchor 19 consists of a permanent magnet having polarity along a lift direction. When the anchor 19 being a permanent magnet contacts and separates from a coil 22 along with lift of the valve body 16 according to a combustion pressure, a change is produced at a magnetic flux. This constitution causes the generation of an induction electromotive force at the coil 22 and fetches the induction electromotive force as data corresponding to a combustion pressure. Thus, there is no need to detect a combustion pressure by a sensor for an exclusive sensor and a cost is reduced.
