PURPOSE:To form a recording image good in image quality and having high gloss and mapping properties by integrally bonding outside and inside coating layers to a molding surface under pressure to form a recording layer and peeling the molding surface from the recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A metal cylindrical rotary body 5 is used as a molding surface having high smoothness and paint 3 containing a water-soluble or water- dispersible resin as a main component is preliminarily applied to the rotary body 5 from a container 2 and dried by a dryer 6 to form an outside coating layer 7. Separately, a paint 9 containing a resin as a main component is applied to a sheet like base material 11 from a container 8 and dried by a dryer 12, if necessary, to form an inside coating layer 13. Next, the inside coating layer 13 is bonded to the outside coating layer 7 on the rotary body 5 under pressure to form an integrated recording layer which is, in turn, peeled from the rotary body 5. The obtained aq. ink recording sheet 16 has good ink receptivity and forms a recording image having high gloss and mapping properties. |
