In a clamping device having two clamping legs (1, 2) connected via a spine (3), one (1) of the two clamping legs (1, 2) consists of two sections (1a, 1b), which are connected to each other via a joint (4). The section (1a), facing the spine (3), of one clamping leg (1) is connected via a further joint (5) to the spine (3) and via a resilient web, forming a spring (6), to the other clamping leg (2). For the reception of clamping material (7), the section (1b) remote from the spine (3), of one clamping leg (1) is initially swung upwards in the manner of a pivot lever and then, after introduction of the clamping material (7) between the clamping legs (1, 2) is swung back into its starting position in which it presses the clamping material against the jointless clamping leg (2) by means of a clamping ram (8) which adopts a locking position. <IMAGE> |
