Reusable sanitary article comprising pants (10) and at least one liq.-absorbent lining (12), both washable and contg. pieces (20) for mechanically securing them together into a configuration where the bottom face of the lining covers the edge regions of the pants. The lining comprises sewn together layers of liq.-absorbent material and a liq. barrier material. The pieces for securing for the pants and towel together comprise one or more pairs of fasteners which mate with a suitable area of the pants or towel, without penetrating the liq. barrier layer in the covered edge regions of the pants. Also claimed are: (i) reusable sanitary towels consisting of a top layer, liq. barrier layer and at least one liq. absorbent and retention layer between these two layers, contg. the above fasteners sewn into the bottom fabric layer of the towel; and (ii) similar towels which include an intermediate elongated liq. barrier layer contg. wings and the fasteners. |
