The passenger cabin (K) is fitted with an impact absorber (5). This consists of at least one beam (2) of material absorbing impact under deformation. The beam abuts directly against the passenger cabin over its entire length. Pref. the beam is a honeycomb structure of numerous, parallel, tubular cells (21) arranged orthogonally to the surface of the passenger cabin. The tubular cells may have a round cross-section, and the beam is typically made of plastics. The tubular cells may glued together. The beam may be at least partly located in a duct-shaped indentation in the floor of the passenger cabin.
