The support comprises a frame, on which the furniture part rests and which is fitted with feet. The frame has couplers (15) with at least two swivelable arms (17, 18) which are interconnected by rails (19) insertable into them. Pref. the first arm (17) contains a pivot (25) on which the second arm (18) is rotatably mounted. The swivel range of the arms is approx. 30 to 270 deg. The arms may have at least one rib (35), coacting with a lip (33), on the groove of the rail. The angular position of the arm may be lockable.
