PURPOSE:To prevent the toner exhaustion in a hopper region during continuous printing by properly rotating a revolver developing unit in a printer shifting a toner to the hopper region from a toner storage container via the rotation of the revolver developing unit. CONSTITUTION:A black toner receiving casing 110 having a toner receiving port 12 facing the toner discharge port 121 of the black toner storage container set at the center to form a hopper region is provided at the upper end section of the rotary shaft of a revolver developing unit. A supply roller 97 is provided in the casing 110, and a conveying screw 91 from a black developing unit is extended in a communicating room with the black developing unit. A shutter 124 rocked by the tare weight during the rotation of the unit is provided on the toner receiving port 12. At the time of continuous printing of the prescribed number or above with the black developing unit, printing is interrupted, the unit is rotated, and the toner is shifted to the hopper region from the toner storage container. The unit may be rotated each time printing is completed. |
