PURPOSE:To correct the color registration of the actually obtained image with high accuracy regardless of the number of sheets and invariably obtain the optimum image by adding the drift quantity of the color registration deviation factor caused by the actual image discharge action to the color registration deviation quantity measured and calculated on a transfer belt. CONSTITUTION:A controller 1 controls the image output and image sampling. For the control of image sampling correction, the sample start point and sample width of a sampling controller 2 are set, a registration deviation measuring pattern is repeatedly generated, and sampling data or arithmetic processing data are integrated to obtain the pattern position. The registration deviation is detected, an image controller 7 and an image output section 8 are controlled, and skew drift correction, magnifying power correction, main scanning direction drift correction, and auxiliary scanning direction drift correction are made. |
