<p>PURPOSE:To make the pen type input device inexpensive and to eliminate the need for a tablet by providing a pressure sensor at the outer peripheral part of the grip part of a pen shaft type device main body and providing a converting process means which performs conversion into information such as character, figure, and indication information based upon the time variation of the pressure distribution from the pressure sensor. CONSTITUTION:The pressure sensor SE can be gripped at the same position at each time by forming the grip part of the pen shaft in a proper shape, and the rotation of the pen is suppressed. A variable resistance type pressure sensor which varies in resistance value with pressure or variable capacity type pressure sensor which varies in capacity is usable as the pressure sensor SE. When the pen is gripped and a character graphic is plotted, the force applied to the grip part varies. The sensor SE senses the variation of the force and a processor PL recognizes the plotted character or graphic from the variation of the force and transmits data of character code, or graphic or indication position information to an information processor PC through a transmitter.</p> |
