The support consists of a base (3a) with a vertical column (19) and a bottom plate (18) for anchoring it in the ground. The base has a detachable axial projection (4) on its upper surface, engaging with an aperture in the bollard's sole plate (10). The sole plate contains a number of threaded holes (16) to receive fixing bolts inserted from the underside of the base (3a), and an inner radial boss (13) with a threaded hole for a fixing screw (20). The tip (20a) of the fixing screw is cylindrical in shape to engage with a groove around the projection.
