PURPOSE:To provide the button type alkaline cell which is formed with a film having thickness capable of exhibiting a sufficient effect of dissolution by using solvent having the solubility of resin sealing compound in a polyamide system superior to organic solvent in a chlorine system as a sealing compound for an insulating seal packing interposed between the positive electrode can and the negative electrode cup of the cell. CONSTITUTION:A dried film made out of mixed solvent solution composed of aromatic hydro carbons in a petroleum system of resin in a polyamide system whose concentration is 1 to 20%, by weight, and of alcohol whose number of carbons in an alkyl group is 1 to 5, is formed over the whole of the surface of an insulating seal packing 6 interposed between the positive electrode can 3 and the negative electrode cup 4 of a cell. In this case, a ratio of alcohol to aromatic hydro carbons in a petroleum system in mixed solvent shall be 0.05 to 30%. by volume, and one or more than one out of benzene, toluene and xylene shall be used as a aromatic hydro carbon in the mixed solvent. By this constitution, dissolving time can thereby be made short. |
