DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING VIRTUAL IMAGE TYPE STEREOSCOPIC PICTURE

PURPOSE:To provide device and method for displaying a virtual image type stereoscopic picture by which eyes are hardly fatigued. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a pair of display means 10L and 10R installed corresponding to both eyes 13L and 13R of an observer and provided with display panel devices 11L and 11R and enlarging optical systems 12L and 12R; line-of-sight detection means 20L and 20R detecting information concerning the line-of-sight direction of both eyes 13L and 13R of the observer; and a virtual image position adjusting means adjusting the position of the virtual image based on the detected information concerning the line-of-sight direction of both eyes.
