<p>PURPOSE: To improve precision of motion detection by replacing a value of a lost pixel with a corresponding value in an adjacent field when the lost pixel is judged to be a constant or to belong to a part which does not move in an image. CONSTITUTION: Plural interlaced image fields consist of a first and a second image fields E1, E2 with first field polarity and a third image field O1 with second field polarity. First, a pixel value of successive lines of the field E2 is successively inputted in a buffer in a stage 501. Then, the fields D1, E1 are successively inputted and the storage and the motion detection are effectively performed. Then, a motion detection arrangement is generated in a stage 502. The fields E1 and O1 is processed and the field O1 is interlaced in a stage 503. In this way, two consecutive fields with the same polarity are used for the motion detection to improve the precision of the motion detection.</p> |
