<p>PURPOSE:To provide a simplified, inexpensive, small size and pad abrasion quantity compensable caliper retracting mechanism to be provided on the sliding guide part of a floating type disc brake. CONSTITUTION:Liquid seals 14, 15 are provided on the entrance part of a guide hole 6 provided on a torque member 11 and on the tip outer circumferential part of a slide pin 7 to be inserted into the guide hole 6, respectively, and grease 16 is filled in the gap between the seals on the outer circumference. When a caliper 1 moves at the time of applying the brakes, the inner circumferential side of the liquid seal 14 deforms so as to follow the pin 7 by generation of internal pressure in the grease filled-in part and the caliper 1 can be retracted by a fixed quantity at the time of eliminating the pressure, by the restoring force of the seal 14.</p> |
