摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide an active matrix substrate capable of preventing floating and peeling of wirings and terminals even after cutting of a glass substrate and a liquid crystal display device formed by using the same and a process for producing the same. CONSTITUTION:This active matrix substrate is formed with switching elements in a matrix form on the glass substrate 1 and is longitudinally and horizontally provided with plural pieces of signal lines for supplying signals to these switching elements. The ends of plural pieces of the signal lines 14 are connected respectively through input terminals 3 to short rings 4 by connecting wirings 4a and the upper layers of at least the signal lines are provided with insulating films 5. The active matrix substrate described above has cut parts P at the connecting wirings between the short rings 4 and the input terminals in order to remove the short ring parts. The regions where the surfaces of the connecting wirings are not provided with the insulating films are formed over at least a range above the thickness of the glass substrate 1 in the cut parts of the connecting wirings.</p>
